The Link between K+-Carboxylates on Neighboring Protein Chains

Two K+-carboxylate ion-pairs on different protein chains are linked by afully tetrahedrally hydrogen-bonded network. Only the oxygen atoms of the network water molecules are shown, and no account is made of the exclusion/hydrogen-bonding around the partial peptide chains.
